questions

Can my employer keep me on a fixed-term contract?

questions

You cannot be kept on a fixed-term contract forever. After four years you have the right to ask to be made permanent.

answers

If the employer cannot justify the continuation of a fixed-term contract for special reasons, you should be made permanent. Failure to renew a fixed-term contract is classed as a dismissal and may be unfair.
