5) 'Racism is No Joke' video
Usdaw’s Race Relations Committee has produced a hard-hitting video called 'Racism is No Joke.' The video includes footage of our Black and Asian members talking frankly about racism and racist abuse at work and in the community. It also flashes up some scary statistics proving that racism is still alive and well in Britain today even if it is less out-spoken than it was 40 years ago.

The video was shown at the Race Relations Committee fringe meeting at this year's ADM and at this year's Black Members' Weekend Workshop. The Education Department are including it on shop stewards courses.

This video is a powerful reminder of the fact that racism is a daily reality for thousands of our Black and Asian members. None of us can afford to sit back and think that the days of racism and racist abuse are a thing of the past.
