Key FactsThe adult rate of the minimum wage is £5.80 per hour*.The minimum wage for 18 – 21 year olds is £4.83 per hour*. The minimum wage for 16 and 17 year olds is £3.57 per hour*. * All rates correct from October 2009, current rates are £5.73, £4.77, and £3.53 respectively.
