First time families

05 June 2009

Usdaw’s First Time Families campaign is now up and running in the Eastern and Southern Divisions.

"Reps are doing a great job of using the campaign materials to make sure working parents, and particularly first time parents, know about the benefits they can claim and their rights at work" said equalities officer Ruth Cross.

"It's proving to be a very useful tool in reaching out to working parents and helps to support the recruitment and organising work of the union. Thanks to all reps who have already returned surveys, please continue to send them in.

"The response from the surveys received so far, indicates that worries about money and making ends meet are big issues for working parents."
