The booklet Maternity and parental rights - a guide for Usdaw reps is designed to help union representatives assist and represent pregnant women and new mothers at work.
It provides a basic, easy to understand guide to maternity, paternity and adoption pay and leave. It also covers parental leave, time off for dependants and the right to request flexible working.
Maternity rights can seem complex and confusing so don't hesitate to ask for help if you need to. You can contact your Area Organiser or Women and Equalities section at Central Office who will be happy to help.
