Pensions Awareness – Reps Toolkit

Getting members to start talking about pensions is the first step towards raising awareness and the Campaign Toolkit is designed to help us get started.

The toolkit contains some straightforward activities which we would like you to try and carry out in order to raise awareness of pensions in your workplace.

The toolkit is designed to help you to:

• Find out about your employer’s pension scheme
• Map your workplace to find out about attitudes to pensions in your workplace
• Answer members’ questions about pensions
• Help your co-workers to obtain a state pension forecast
• Encourage members to sign up for the Understanding Pensions Home Study Course
• Update your noticeboard

• Home Study Course application form
• Staff pension survey
• BR19 State Pension Forecast application form
• Materials order form and return envelope
• Campaign feedback form

How to get started…

• Simply download or order the Rep's Briefing and carry out the activities contained within it.
• You may find details about your own employer's pension scheme on the pension finder.
• Download the materials order form or contact the pensions section to request more posters, surveys or state pension forecast application forms.
• Contact the pensions section if you need help getting started.
