Home Campaigns Freedom From Fear Resources
Have we got news for you
14 April 2003
Usdaw's Freedom From Fear campaign has hit the headlines across the media with national and local coverage on TV, radio, in trade/specialist publications, and in the newspapers. There were also extensive reports on a number of news/specialist web sites.
BBC TV and radio, and commercial radio stations carried news of the campaign, which was boosted by the release of a special report, Voices From The Frontline, which detailed members' experiences of violence and abuse in the workplace.
The report was launched at a special safety conference in London, 2 December 2002 by Deputy General Secretary, John Hannett where employers, Government, the Health and Safety Executive, and trade organisations were left in little doubt as to the scale of the problem.
