Around the world with arena
Arena magazine travelled the world in the summer thanks to globe-trotting members who took the spring issue to America, Russia, the Canaries and across Europe as part of our holiday competition.
First out of the hat and winner of the £100 prize was Maureen Wilson who travelled to the Neapolitan town of Sorrento in the Bay of Naples this summer and enjoyed temperatures in excess of 34C while flood-waters drenched Britain. "We went to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Amalfi and other gorgeous towns in the area," said Maureen who works at the Tesco store in Winchester. It was a fantastic trip. And a lovely bonus to win the Arena magazine competition!"
