It’s been a phenomenal year for Usdaw’s campaigns – further strengthening the union’s reputation as the campaigning union. Here’s a look back at the highlights of the last 12 months, a year which has seen more and more reps and members get involved in union activity.
Part of the lifelong learning initiative, this campaign aims to bring opportunities to get back into learning for thousands of retail workers. It was launched this year and has made rapid progress.
Already this year 80 roadshows have been held at companies ranging from Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Ikea to highlight the courses available. Usdaw's team of project workers and learning reps have been instrumental in offering numeracy, literacy, computer and foreign language courses to hundreds of members.
