    ADM 2007: MPs support union
    Gordon Brown was not the only MP to make a special visit to ADM to support Usdaw members. Helen Jones (Warrington North) addressed delegates as part of the debate on lifelong learning and urged employers to see learning not as an optional extra but as part and parcel of the employment package. “We shouldn’t restrict learning to workplace-related issues either,” she said. “Locally provided courses on IT and Spanish are very popular and there’s nothing wrong with that.
