A hassle-free service

A crowbar-wielding thug left warehouse worker Mike Barlow battered and bruised during an attempted robbery at the Argos distribution site in Stoke on Trent.

The 32 year-old ended up in his local accident and emergency ward and on top of his shoulder and arm injuries was left traumatised by the incident.

"My union rep contacted me after the incident and advised me I could claim through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) for the injuries and the stress I sustained during and after the assault," he said.

"I didn't have a clue about any of this, but submitting a claim couldn't have been easier. I was kept fully informed all the way through. It was a great service and completely hassle free which really helped to ease the burden."

Mike was awarded £1,000 in compensation.
