Usdaw took care of me

Trolley collector Shaun Robson was off work for three months after he was knocked down in the customer car park at the Tesco store in Beverley, North Humberside.

The accident happened two years ago when a customer reversed her car into him. "I had injuries to my lower back," said Shaun, 38. "My union rep Paul Young was fantastic. He contacted my local union office and everything was taken care of. Solicitors fees, medical bills, travelling expenses - the union paid for the lot, it couldn't have been easier."

Shaun's case was settled earlier this year. "I was delighted when I received a cheque for £5,800," said Shaun, 38. "Usdaw took good care of me - it was a great relief."
