Looking ahead

Hayley Pickles, North Yorkshire Tesco F102.

The North East women's committee held its last meeting at the Cavaghan & Gray site in Carlisle, where our co-ordinator is the union convenor Mary Kennedy.

Mary and her colleagues made us feel very welcome and gave us a tour of the factory, part of the Northern Foods group, which makes ready meals for some of the big retailers.

It was a fitting place to mark our final meeting - strong Usdaw membership, well organised and a good employer.

Committee members are now looking forward to getting involved with the equalities forums.

Many thanks to everyone involved.
