End of an era

I want to say a big thank you to Usdaw for a lovely send off from General Secretary John Hannett, Divisional Officer Mike Aylward and Area Organiser Gary Lord for me and my fellow reps from Littlewoods stores in branch K123.
We all got together for a meal to mark the final closure of our Littlewoods stores at the Cathay Dim Sum in Manchester, where owner Lawrence (also an Usdaw member) provided us with a very special menu for the night.
We were honoured to have such an enjoyable evening even though it marked the final end of the Littlewoods name on the high street. I want to wish all of my former colleagues good luck with their job hunting and I know like me they are looking to stay active in the union.
