Don't just sit there, get involved!
Actions speak louder than words and there are plenty of openings for young members to take a bigger part in the union.
Usdaw has an active youth section and with a dedicated committee set up in every division you could be part of it.
You don't have to be an activist or rep to attend any of the get-togethers, the only qualification is that you are an Usdaw member aged 26 or below.
The national weekend, organised by members of Usdaw's very own youth committee, is designed to introduce young members to the relevance and benefits of union membership as well as developing their confidence and self-esteem.
Did you know?
- Every division has its very own youth committee which gets involved in all kinds of events and activities in your area.

As a young member
- You can be nominated to represent Usdaw at conferences in the UK and abroad.
- You have the same rights and benefits as any other fully paid up member of Usdaw whether you work full or part-time.
- You can get involved in every union activity including branch meetings and national and local campaigns.
- You have access to free training and advice through Usdaw's education department.
