CIS settlement reached after talks
More than nine out of ten financial advisers at Co-operative Insurance Services (CIS) have agreed to new terms and conditions with further talks planned to discuss how the new working practices bed in.
Senior Usdaw officials and company management have agreed to establish a working party to allow them to monitor progress and review the Field Sales Model over the next six months.
Union members voted overwhelmingly to accept the review agreement, bringing to an end the current dispute. National secretary Merdy Briggs was full of praise for his members. "We had tremendous support," he said. "The national committee want to place on record its appreciation to the members and to all those Labour MPs who have backed us during the last few months."
