How you can get involved

There are a number of ways in which reps and members can help support the maternity spotlight day on March 10.

  • We will soon be sending you maternity rights campaign materials - you can distribute these to members on site.
  • Put up our new maternity rights poster on the notice board - we will send you this at the end of February.
  • Help to run a publicity stall where you can hand out campaign literature on maternity rights. Your local Usdaw office (0845 6060640) will be able to tell you if there is a stall near you.
  • Ask your local MP to come along to your workplace to meet members and talk about issues for working parents and carers. Contact your MP at the House of Commons on 0207 219 3000. Usdaw's political office (0161 249 2452) can also give advice on how to organise a visit.
  • Get members to fill out the survey we are running on parents and carers. You can fill it in online, download it from the web site, or get a copy from your Usdaw office.
