MFI in SOS call

Usdaw has been inundated with enquiries from angry MFI workers after the DIY chain introduced changes to their working practices.

Staff claim they face cuts in commission rates and are being required to work longer hours.

More than 200 have now joined Usdaw and are actively urging colleagues to do the same. General Secretary Sir Bill Connor said: "The workers are understandably worried about the changes and are keen to establish their rights. We are able to offer advice and support to them.

"I openly invite all MFI workers to join Usdaw. The more of them we have on board, the stronger our position is when representing them."
