Campaign receives a boost at Tolpuddle weekend
Meanwhile, the campaign was promoted as part of the Tolpuddle weekend by members in the South Wales and Western and Southern divisions.
John Hannett joined activists and officials, suitably decked out in their Freedom From Fear campaign t-shirts, on the streets of Yeovil where they collected hundreds of signatures and gave the campaign a massive publicity boost.
"This was one of the most colourful occasions for Usdaw in many years," said Divisional Officer Paddy Lillis. "It was a great success. Thanks to all our reps for getting involved. Local shoppers were right behind us."
