Double award for hard working reps
Usdaw reps from Hilliers Food Manufacturing in Plympton picked up two prestigious awards, earning high praise from Divisional Officer Paddy Lillis, at a special event held at the factory.
"This is a tremendous achievement for Hilliers Plymouth branch," he said. "The reps picked up the Divisional Recruitment Award for a second time, and helped the company win the Regional European Week for Health and Safety Award. All this despite several changes of ownership and management."
Senior shop steward John O'Connell said: "Since the new management team had acquired the business in 2001, we've had a positive and progressive relationship with management, and an especially good rapport with general manager Yvonne Davies."
