On 6 April, Government changes to the rules for tax credits will
mean that over
200,000 working families with children face losing
£3,870 in tax credits unless
they can find extra hours of
work.
Thousands of Usdaw members are
affected by these changes, but with unemployment
so high, 78% of
members cannot find the extra hours they need and face being
plunged
into poverty by the loss of almost £4,000 tax credit.

The Budget on 21 March is the last chance for George Osborne to
postpone this rule change which is so unfair at a time when extra
work is not available.
