Supporting Parents and Carers Spotlight Day - Need a Helping Hand? Talk to Usdaw

Supporting Parents and Carers Spotlight Day - Wednesday 21 March 2012. Find out how you can get involved and support the campaign.

We know that this is a difficult time for many of our members. Studies show that families are becoming increasingly worried about their finances. Our members are having to deal with rising food bills, changes to tax credits and cuts in benefits. Changes in working hours can also make things difficult as parents and carers try to juggle work with family commitments.

Usdaw has a vital role to play in these difficult times. That’s why our theme for this year’s Parents and Carers Spotlight Day is Need a Helping Hand? We want to make sure that as many members as possible see that Usdaw has something to offer when times are tough.

Spotlight Day will help to re-enforce the message that Usdaw understands the pressures members are under and can help.

We hope you will decide to get involved on Spotlight Day. We know hundreds of Reps do and find it an enjoyable way of demonstrating to members and non members that Usdaw has something to offer. In this pack you will find everything you need to make something happen in your workplace on Wednesday 21 March.

You can do as much or as little as you like – even if you just put the campaign poster up and give out the leaflet, you will be helping to reach out to members.
