Maternity and Parental Rights Pack
Usdaw's maternity and parental rights pack is available to help members understand maternity, paternity and adoption rights.

It includes guidance on
health and safety, leave and pay, returning to work, miscarriage
and stillbirth, sickness and redundancy and post-natal
depression.
There are eight different
leaflets in the pack, each dealing with a separate topic. Use the

There's also a handy wall
planner that flags up important dates during pregnancy. For
example, the week in which women are required to give notice to
their employer of the date they want to start their leave.
Also available is a

All the eight leaflets
and the wall chart can be ordered together as a pack, or
separately. The Maternity and Parental
Rights Guide for Usdaw Reps is free; the Maternity and Parental
Rights Pack costs £2.00. Both are available from the
Stationery Department
at Central Office.
Don't forget to keep up your
union membership whilst you are on maternity leave and when you go
back to work. Send the maternity leave postcard back to us (no stamp
needed) and Usdaw will contact you about your union membership once
your maternity leave has finished
