Checkout checklist

Many people think that checkout work is an easy job. But in a busy store, it can be physically demanding. Bad design of the checkout or poor maintenance can increase the risk of aches and pains that can result in more serious injury. And there is a risk of violence or abuse from customers or from criminals who want to steal from the till drawer. This short checklist has been designed to help Usdaw health and safety reps to check out the checkouts in their store.
