Jeff Broome is the President of the UK's fourth biggest trade union, Usdaw. He was elected President in January 2006 in a postal ballot of the membership and re-elected in 2009 for a further three years.
Jeff, 58, a full-time convenor at Boots Logistics in Nottingham, has served on the Union's governing body, the Executive Council, for 15 years.
As President he is chair of all the Union's main bodies including the National Political Committee, the National Equalities Advisory Group, the National Youth Committee, the Annual Delegate Meeting (ADM) and the Retail Trades Conference.
He has also served on the East Midlands Regional Labour Party.
