Usdaw members in Argos overwhelmingly vote for a pay deal of at least £10 per hour

Date: 21 January 2022 Retail trade union Usdaw has welcomed a 94% vote in favour a ground-breaking pay deal of at least £10 per hour basic rate negotiated by the union for Argos workers in stores and regional fulfilment centres.
Dave Gill – Usdaw National Officer says: “We were pleased to have negotiated an increase in pay to at least £10 an hour and that the vast majority of our members in Argos have voted for a rise that takes most staff beyond the real living wage. This increase is one of the leading rates in retail, it is a big step forward and shows that the company are prepared to invest in the staff to help grow the business.

“It’s been a tough time for retail staff through the pandemic; they have worked in difficult circumstances and deserve our support, respect and appreciation. Most of all they deserve a decent wage and this pay rise is a welcome boost.”
