Usdaw welcomes Ocado's 10% bonus for staff in recognition of the essential work they are doing during the Coronavirus crisis

Date: 30 March 2020 Retail trade union Usdaw has welcomed Ocado’s commitment to pay a 10% bonus payment to frontline employees, including personal shoppers, drivers and LGV drivers from 23 March and while the crisis continues.
Daniel Adams, Usdaw National Officer says: “It’s a tough time for all those working in the food supply chain at the moment. We are all reliant on the essential service they provide and they deserve our support, respect and appreciation more than ever. So we very much welcome Ocado’s recognition of the work they are doing in difficult times.

“We continue to work with Ocado to ensure employees’ health and wellbeing are protected throughout these unprecedented times. We also call on customers to stay calm and respect all workers who are providing vital support to the public through this crisis.”
