Dave Gill – Usdaw National Officer says: “This is a deeply worrying time for everyone, not least shopworkers. We understand that the company is considering the health and safety of customers and staff, but this is a major decision that is very concerning for our members.
“Primark is committed to retaining staff in employment and continuing to pay them during the shutdown and the Government’s Coronavirus jobs retention scheme is a big help to employers in these circumstances. Usdaw is providing our members with the support and advice they need at this time of great uncertainty.”
