John Gorle - Usdaw National Officer says: “This is clearly a worrying time for the staff and Usdaw will be fully engaging in a meaningful consultation process on the proposed transfer and closures, where we will be seeking the best possible deal for members. In the meantime we are providing our members with the support, advice and representation they need through this process.
“Clearly the coronavirus emergency is having a big impact on the high street, not least in the travel industry. The Government has to prioritise supporting vulnerable businesses to help save jobs, working with unions and employers to develop an effective recovery plan as we emerge from this appalling pandemic.”
