Debenhams at risk of going into administration again - Usdaw calls for urgent talks and for the staff to be treated with dignity

Date: 03 April 2020 Shopworkers’ trade union Usdaw has called for urgent talks to give staff a voice in the future of the company, as the company appears to be on the verge of going into administration again.
Dave Gill - Usdaw National Officer says: “This is more worrying news for staff who were recently furloughed. Clearly the Coronavirus emergency is going to be a severe challenge for the many high street businesses who are already struggling.

“We again urge the company to engage with Usdaw the trade union for Debenhams staff. It’s crucial that the staff and their voice should be heard and they are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. We will continue to provide our members with the support and advice they need at this very difficult time.
