Co-operative trade union NACO transfers into Usdaw today

Date: 01 May 2018 Usdaw today welcomes members of the National Association of Co-operative Officials (NACO) as they transfer into the shopworkers’ trade union.
John Hannett – Usdaw General Secretary says: “We are delighted that NACO opted to transfer into Usdaw and we welcome their members to our union. Usdaw is a strong and growing trade union that offers first class support to our members, alongside many other benefits.

“This decision ensures NACO members have the backing of an experienced and knowledgeable trade union. Usdaw has had a long relationship with the Co-op, we understand the business and already represent tens of thousands of their staff, which means we will provide a smooth transition.

“NACO’s active members gave a clear mandate by voting 82% in favour of the transfer into the Sata section of Usdaw. We now look forward to a very positive future together.”
