John Hannett - Usdaw General Secretary says: “Congratulations to Amy on her election and I look forward to working together to strengthen our union, improve workers' lives and deliver for our members.
“I would also like to pay tribute to Jeff Broome for many years of service he has given Usdaw as President, on our Executive Council and as an Usdaw activist. He will be a tough act to follow.
“All sectors of the Union are going through some very challenging times, with a lot of changes that will impact on our members. I know that our new President and newly elected Executive Council will pull together to ensure the union continues to be a strong voice for our members.”
