Our thoughts are with the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing

Date: 23 May 2017 Shopworkers’ trade union leader John Hannett has expressed deepest sympathy and condolences to all those involved and affected by last night’s horrific terror attack at the Manchester Arena.
John Hannett – Usdaw General Secretary says: “Last night’s bombing of the Manchester Arena was an indiscriminate and brutal attack on innocent individuals attending a music event, many of whom were young people and children. Our thoughts are with the victims of this outrage, their loved ones, families and friends.

“As a Manchester based trade union, we join with other organisations and communities in the city to utterly condemn those who brought terror to our streets. They seek to divide us, but we remain resolute in our determination to work with all who promote respect, tolerance and unity.”
